JOINT-AFFIDAVIT Sebastian Eriberto Seno, Paolo Jesus Celso, Mona Lisa del Gallego, Ma.Cristina del Gallego, Raymond Alvin Garcia, Maharlika Esperanza Schulze, Jheanessa Ann Fonacier, Francisco Carlos Jarque, Jr., and Paolo Manguerra, Filipino citizens, and residents of Cebu City, under oath of law, depose and say that: 1. We all personally know Francisco Juan Larrañaga, nickname Paco, who is enrolled and studies at the Center for Culinary Arts in Quezon City. 2. On July 16, 1997, from 10:00 P.M. to 1:00 A.M. (17 July), for most of us, and until 3:00 A.M., (17 July) for Paolo Manguerra, Paolo Jesus Celso and Francisco Juan Larrañaga, we were all at the R and R Bar in Katipunan, Quezon City, on the occasion of the arrival of Marianne del Gallego and despedida for Francisco Juan Larrañaga who was scheduled to fly to Cebu in the late afternoon of 17 July 1997. 3. In fact we have pictures of the gathering, with Francisco Juan Larrañaga clearly visible in the picture, hereto attached as Annexes “A”, “B”, and “C”. 4. We are executing this affidavit to attest to the truth of the narrations in the above paragraphs. A F F I D A V I T I, MARIANNE DEL GALLEGO, of legal age, Filipino, single, and a resident of 168 Subangdaku, Mandaue City, after being sworn, do hereby depose and state as follows THAT: 1. I know personally Mr. Francisco Juan Larrañaga nicknamed Paco, who had been my neighbor for 10 years, and a friend until the present; 2. I just learned that he was pinpointed as one of the suspects to the kidnapping of Jacqueline and Mari Joy Chiong on July 16, 1997; 3. I know for a fact that the suspicion against him was a mistake because from about 10:00 PM to 1:00 AM, from the evening of July 16, 1997 to early morning of July 17, 1997, I met him at the R and R Bar in Katipunan, Quezon City, together with our friends, namely Monalisa Del Gallego, Ma. Cristina Del Gallego, Raymond Alvin Garcia, Marjorie Ann Aznar, Sebastian Eriberto Seno, Paolo Jesus Celso, Maharlika Esperanza Schulze, Jeanessa Ann Fonacier, Francisco Carlos Jarque, Jr., and Paolo Manguerra and others; 4. I stayed in Metro Manila for about a week from July 16, 1997 when I visited my sisters Mona Lisa Del Gallego and Ma. Cristina Del Gallego at Cedar Mansion, Pasig, Metro Manila; 5 In the night of July 16, 1997 I went to R and R Bar upon invitation of some friends, and there I met Mr. Larrañaga; 6. I execute this affidavit in order to establish the truth of the facts stated above and to clear Mr. Francisco Juan Larrañaga from suspicion of having participated in said kidnapping.
